It's Pumpkin Season


It’s that time of the year when the leaves start changing colors and everyone turns to the classic and cozy flavors of pumpkins! Not only are pumpkins tasty, but they also provide great health benefits for your body. Its bright orange color shows that it is rich in beta-carotene, an antioxidant that is converted to vitamin A in the body. Research indicates that a diet rich in foods containing beta-carotene may reduce the risk of developing certain types of cancer and protect against heart disease. Pumpkins are, in fact, fruits and are made up of 90% water. There are many ways to prepare and eat pumpkins. You can turn an ordinary pumpkin into extraordinary pies, pancakes, breads, and soups to name a few. Children love pumpkins, whether they’re carving them with the help of a parent or eating them.
